My Personal Experience😃

When I came to Banaras for the first time after admission in Bhu, I had heard a lot about Assi Ghat. And then when I went with my friends, the conscience was mesmerized by the beautiful view there. The view of the Ganges from Assi Ghat is quite attractive. If you are fond of traveling and you have come to visit Varanasi. Then , You can start your day with the Morning event held at Assi Ghat, known as Subah—e—Banaras. It'd be an amazing start to the day. Next you could stuff in a bit of delicious snacks, from the vendors you can spot opposite The Himalaya Store (on the road that leads to the ghat). Be ready for some oil intake though. I personally love their Idli.

                                      One More Thing about assi ghat which adds to its beauty. And that is the Evening Aarti Of Assi ghat. Lots of cultural activities and Ganga Arti is the most amazing feature you can witness with your visit at Ghat. The Assi Ghat is a sparkling place with Lots Of  people visiting the Ghats to get refreshed and enjoy the time.

And the best thing that I like about Assi is the sunset of Assi Ghat. And god promise this is really mesmerizing. So , if you are Travel Vlogger And Professional Photographer then Get your Camera And Start Clicking the Real Beauty Of Banaras.

According to the ancient history, The Goddess Durga  had thrown her sword in the river (called Assi River) after killing the demon Shumbha-Nishumbha. That’s why the place has been named as Assi Ghat as it is located at the union of the River Ganga and Assi River. 

The ( Assi ) in Varanasi Comes from the name of the river And first half has been derived from ( Varuna ) river. It is said that the Varanasi Begins with the Sangam of "Varuna" And "Ganges".Assi ghat has been also described in the ancient Hinduism literatures such as in the Matasya purana, Agni purana and Padma Purana  as well.

Current Significance

Assi Ghat is the everyone’s preferred ghat located in the south of the Varanasi. It is the place where one can spend Many hours very easily without any disturbance. It is the amazing and most natural place. Assi ghat is place of huge crowd during any Hindu festivals such as Ganga dasharra , Ganga deepawali , Holi , Mahashivratri and Xyg....

Assi ghat on evenings, is the calmest of the easily accessible Ghats and very close to BHU ( BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY ). It is one of the favourite Spots of leisure for the students and people's Nearby Assi. If you visiting Assi then don't forget to take a sip of lemon tea.
